Peace vigils are held at the gates of the Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Plant in Oak Ridge, TN every Sunday at 5:00pm with a potluck afterwards on the third Sunday of the month. Also, there are larger events in the spring and especially in early August to commemorate the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan for which Y-12 helped provide the highly enriched uranium.
